Ruud Leeuw's website has a wealth of information about Greybull:

C-45...........x1

I also believe two C-82 Packets. Survivors are rather rare (7?) and are visible in the overhead photos above, disassembled on the left near the fence line.

I could see the Hagerstown Museum acquiring another C-82 and restore her as an (in production) model, and set it up on the production line where she was built. Boy would that be a cool display. And the other of course would need to be a full scale "Flight of the Phoenix" diorama.

Really? Are you offering a huge donation? Hagerstown's not awash in money. IIRC it took them a good while to raise the funds just to fly their "new" C-123 in.

I'd rather see as their next acquisition a decommissioned A-10, as that was the last Fairchild airplane built there, and there are plenty of people still living in the community who built them (and their progeny). And then possibly something from the Republic line--P-47, F-84, or F-105. No, none of these were ever built in Hagerstown, but Fairchild sure was proud of their Republic "heritage" and played it up whenever they could.

Or a Fokker F-27 or F-28, or Pilatus Turbo Porter, all of which were very active with Fairchild in Hagerstown.

Good call on the F-27...there must be a few FH-227s needing a home.I
I believe unlike the Fokkers, they were built there.
The Army had a few over the years as jump ships for the Golden Knights, perhaps they could get a "free" one when they get an A-10.

There's an F-27 at Greybull that the Hagerstown Aviation Museum already owns: N127HP

Did not know that. It would be good to have it come home. That one also seems to have a US military connection to boot.
