I wonder what that photographer's mate was going to make a picture of, with his 8x10 Eastman 2D camera and the film holder in?
To my eye, the undercarriage of an N3N on floats is an unlikely subject.

I wonder why those 2 guys were standing that close to the catapult before the launch?

I swear the color is so vivid and the picture so crisp on some of the pictures, you'd swear they were taken yesterday. Looks so different looking at pictures of that era in color, definitely brings them to life.

Mark outstanding job posting these, thank you and keep up your hard work, it's greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

This series is a bit rough. Any of you Photoshop Guru's can take a shot at perhaps enhancing them correctly.

Every model builder on the planet is wishing that they had shot one, just one, picture of the port side of the P-40!

FYI Hasegawa released a kit of it in 1/48 and 1/32. I built the 1/48 version. They did a great job with the decals so the placement of the markings was not as tedious as it looks.

It was just a joke gents, based on the fact that none of the photos in Mark's original post on the airplane had any port side shots.
