This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Yes, that would be EN224. I may be wrong, but I believe I read that the project is actively being worked on again, having been on pause for a little while.

I know, I know...
replica, replica...
cry "foul" if you want...
But if the first flight of the Egmond family's Fokker D'XXI doesn't get you at least a little bit excited, you might want to check your pulse.

Don't forget the line of restored Huey's coming out of NWH in Olympia Wa. I think they did 4 in 2020.

Has anyone heard from him lately? Some years ago, he had some interesting projects in his shop that have not yet seen the light of day, as far as I know.
Haven't seen or heard boo out of Hang in a couple of years. He's even vanished from the Aero Vintage board. Last time we talked, he was getting that 900 ton press up and running at the home shop and not long after that, nothing.

On the skytruck side, I'd like to think Everts C46 "Salmon Ella" N1822M will be back in the skies in 2021 and possibly Buffalo's DC3 GJKM which is also undergoing repair.

First one ticked off the list- Fagen F6F-5 Hellcat.
Pictures posted on Fagen Fighters Facebook page. John T has also updated his thread on here too. It is a beautiful looking aeroplane. I hope it can go to Oshkosh the same year we all can!

Well, Im not sure they count as restorations...but.
Former Ardco/ Florida Air Transport/Island Air Transport C-54D 43-17228 will emerge as "Spirit of Freedom" to replace the tornado damaged C-54E 44-9144 over the next few months.
IF we're lucky, we can get a new engine on C-97G 52-2718 before the year is out.
Of course, that's all about money.

The Warbird Heritage Foundation Corsair 92050 restoration is complete and waiting on better weather for first flight. Most likely it will fly in the Spring.

Scheme came out great. Only missing a few things. I’ll have to post some close up walk around photos of when it was sitting on it’s carrier.

Great news. When it arrives in Waukegan I will have to come up and take a look.

Although I haven't seen or heard anything about it recently, when the single-seater IL-2 Sturmovik (flown by Capt. Alexander Kalichev) was recovered in Russia in August 2018, it was estimated that it would be flying within 3-4 years (late 2021 or 2022). They have also been working on restoring a TU-2 to fly in Russia.
