The Goose is one of several types I've never gotten around to working on tallying yet.

TF-51D 44-74978 (N74978), that has been under restoration/build at Cal Pacific Aeromotive, made its first post-restoration test flight last night at Salinas, CA.

A little video clip of the aircraft out on an earlier taxi test: https://www.facebook.com/mtrescott/vide ... 9035619441

Minus 1 for Alaska Air Fuel DC-4 N96358. This was the last active regulary flown DC4 in service. Apparently was damaged in a overrun at Yakataga Airport, Alaska on Saturday October 10. Hopefully they get one of their other birds back serviceable.

Damage unknown. Have you confirmed that the aircraft was seriously damaged?

Yeah, I updated the DC-4/C-54 list early yesterday morning to reflect the recent runway overrun of N96358.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd say it looks pretty severe. The front wheel assy is off to the left and it looks like all 4 engines probably had propstrikes, maybe #4 is still okay. I'd be really surprised if they would bother repairing with so many other good airframes sitting around North America.

I agree that it's pretty severely damaged, but with the way the regulations are, repairing an already airworthy (but damaged) airplane is often more cost and time efficient than trying to bring one that hasn't flown in 20+ years out of "storage", especially for commercial operations like this.

Peter Teichman's Spitfire Mk.IX PT879, a Russian combat-veteran of WWII, has been added to the list of flyers, having made its first post-restoration flight today. The test pilot was Pete Kynsey. The aircraft, which contains numerous parts from the original wreck which was recovered in Russia in the 1990's, is fully outfitted as it was in service, and is painted in the markings as it originally wore in 1945 (factory RAF camouflage and markings, with Russian markings painted over the top of the RAF markings). https://www.facebook.com/Hangar11Collec ... 6829741261

It looks spectacular, and it is so great to see it finally flying after having been a project for many years.

I've been working on compiling a list of all of the active BT-13's and BT-15's in the world and I have accumulated the following. Would anyone happen to be aware of any others that I've overlooked?

There are about 46 BT-13's and BT-15's flying in the world:
Australia: 1 (VH-JKV)
Canada: 1 (C-FXYP)
France: 1 (N93)
Germany: 1 (N71502)
Netherlands: 1 (N313BT)
United States: 41 (N11FW, N133BT, N10458, N27003, N2808, N4043, N52411, N53331, N54679, N54822, N54841, N55537, N56319, N56360, N56478, N56867, N56882(?), N57486, N58698, N59840, N59961, N60795, N61BT, N61372, N62700, N63884, N641CM, N65364, N67208, N67496, N67629, N67789, N69013, N69041, N69605, N73402, N75004, N818DM, N826BT, N8527P, N93BT)

----- Purposely not included: N59842 was damaged in a takeoff accident in 2018. N62644 was damaged in a takeoff accident in 2019.

Quite an effort John - Are there and Swordfish flying ?
I remember there used to be one in Canada, at least 15 years ago maybe 20.

In the UK, the two recently active Swordfish are W5856 (G-BMGC) and LS326, operated by Navy Wings/Fly Navy Heritage Trust. The last flying Swordfish in Canada was HS554 (C-GEVS), when operated by Vintage Wings of Canada. It flew to Oshkosh in 2011, but I don't recall it operating much after that due to on-going issues with the engine. It was sold to a new, private owner in the UK and is now registered as G-RNMZ.

A couple of recent updates to the list:

- Stefano Landi's Centaurus-powered Hawker Sea Fury WJ298 (D-CRZY) has moved to Northern Italy, now based with the rest of the owner's flying collection.
- The Commemorative Air Force Sierra Hotel Squadron's A-26C Invader "Little Twister" 44-35643 (N626SH) had its first post-restoration test flight this past Sunday, November 1st. This is the first time the aircraft had flown in over 20 years.

I'm aware of some other recent movements of warbirds, but will wait until knowledge of which is in the public domain.

I imagine this may be a typo, but not sure who's?

The top photo sure looks like C-FXYP.

Thank you Mike. Yeah, I was confused (not hard for me) about that one. I originally did a search for C-FXYP and I saw some sources claiming it to be a Dash 8 instead, and I saw the sales ads claiming it to be C-CXYP. However, it appears the Dash 8 that was registered as C-FXYP at one point now has a different registration in Australia (VH-QOT). I may as well revise my listing to C-FXYP, since that is what is clearly applied to the aircraft.
