That's not what the subject line said. But it is suspended in the AWM so flying vs. airworthy is an exercise in semantics.

Did the Avia CS-199 actually serve with the Israelis?

I've seen some plastic models with 'what if' markings, but can't remember seeing an actual pic of one in IAF service.

Junkman, I appreciate all the effort you went to in confirming the Israeli's use of the Avia S-199.

But my question doesn't concern the S-199 (single seater), but rather the CS-199 (two-seat trainer).

Now, get back in the hunt and find evidence that the IAF used the aircraft in question! :drink3:
