One of the driving forces behind the warbird community is flight simulators. This forum is to discuss all aspects of flight simulators, primarily combat/military based software but GA simulators can be discussed here as well.
For those of you who like other open world video games in addition to flight simulators, here is a very interesting 3D graphical comparison of the size of various game world maps.
Flight simulators are NOT included in this video. However, in case you're wondering, a 1:1 full-earth simulator such as MS Flight Sim (any version) or Prepar3d would come in 2nd, at 510 million km2. A distant second - but also way ahead of 3rd. I haven't worked out where the maps in limited-map flight sims like IL-2 or DCS would fit, but their approximate positions are fairly evident.
Warning - if you also like 3D modeling and comparisons of fictional vehicles, monsters, robots and buildings, be prepared to lose a few hours exploring this channel.
