Hi all,
I noticed that N-number N405CU, has been assigned to P-40N-CU 42-105079. (but not registered yet)
This P-40 was used by the RAF as Kittyhawk IV FX509 and craslanded near Rimini (I) on 092244.

As I am not aware of the restoration of this Curtiss, I would like to known who can tell me more...

I don't have restoration details for you, but a QUICK search turned up a few details of its crash (pilot, cause, etc.) that I've linked below. It appears Greek troops took control of Rimini Airfield on September 17th...just in time for the pilot to crash land among friends!

these were the data that I had found out too.
Maybe the people that want to restore this machine are so optimistic that they have already arranged a registration while the project it nothing more than a pile of rusted tubing. This has happened in the UK more than once
Somebody else perhaps?
