Stuttgart Army Air Field - Final Approach Class Book WANTED

All,

I'm trying to locate either a hard copy or digital copy of the Stuttgart Army Air Field class book for class 43-H. I've tried the usual aafcollection.info website search, but they only have the 44-D class book.

I'm looking for this for a friend, Joe Stern, who was a part of that class. During conversation this evening, he shared with me that some time shortly after the war a young cousin of his clipped all photos of him out of the class book for herself. Of course, he didn't realize it until later and then it was too late. He never saw the photos again.

Any help locating this would be greatly appreciated. Joe is 97 years old and sharp as a tack, and would love to see his photos in the book again.

Thanks for the quick reply, but that doesn't appear to be the right book. Joe was at Stuttgart for Advanced Twin Engine Training and received his wings upon graduation from there. That book appears to be glider training. Does it also include Advanced training? Does it mention a class number?

Stuttgart was a glider base before transitioning to twin engine. They used, or had at least, TG-4As for that training, and it's possible one of the glider era books will have a young Paul Poberezny in them, as that is where he got his glider training (although TBH, I don't know if he was an official cadet, or just picked up extra flying time while there)

A related find. It's not the classbook for Stuttgart Class 43-H, rather their graduation announcement with a listing of all graduating cadets.

Joe celebrated his 98th birthday two days ago. Fingers crossed I can find the classbook soon.

UPDATE - The Final Approach classbook for class 43-H has been found. The Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie in Stuttgart, AR, has a collection of classbooks in their care, including class 43-H. Jesse Walsh at the museum was kind enough the scan it and email it to me. I have since shared it with a very appreciative Joe Stern, as described here;
