Fairey Gordon
The Fairey Gordon was a British light bomber (2-seat day bomber) and utility aircraft of the 1930s.

The Gordon was a conventional two-bay fabric-covered metal biplane. It was powered by 525–605 horsepower (391–451 kW) variants of the Armstrong Siddeley Panther IIa engine. Armament was one fixed, forward-firing .303-inch (7.7 mm) Vickers machine gun and a .303-inch (7.7 mm) Lewis Gun in the rear cockpit, plus 500 pounds (230 kg) of bombs.

You can certainly see where the Swordfish came from...

The New Zealand Government purchased 41 second hand examples very cheap from the RAF and put them to work as training aircraft for pilots and air gunners from 1939 till they were replaced by Harvards in 1941-42.

The only example in the world that still exists was recovered from a crash site by Charles Darby and is sitting in a container here in New Zealand.

Been wondering about the project for years and first time seen photos.
Would be great if it could return to the UK, wonder if RAF Museum would be interested in it?.
Served as K2759 with 35 Squadron and 1 AACU in the RAF.
