Had not been in a few years!

Amazing to see the Halifax done and the work on the Ex NB KB882 Lanc!

Looks like the S-2 or COD could use some TLC.

I love the Halifax it is just too bad that the way it is displayed it is very difficult to photograph. Lack of space and lighting issues.

Anyone know why the Halifax engine exhausts are placed the way they are?
No. 1 engine exhausts on the left side, No. 2, 3 & 4 engines exhaust on the right side?

I've been told that it was done to avoid possible ignition of dumped fuel, the fuel dumping vents are located in the wing section between the inboard and outboard engines. That said, the exhaust on #3 faces outboard, which doesn't make 100% sense.

When you consider the lake bed wreck they started with, that Halifax is a work of art and still the only complete genuine Halifax in the world. There's a very poignant wreck of a Merlin-powered Halifax at RAF Museum Hendon (which also came out of a lake in Norway), and there is another complete Mk.III at Yorkshire Air Museum which uses the similar wings from a HP Hastings and a combination of genuine Halifax sections and scratch-built parts.

Is the Lancaster that is inside and under apparent restoration to one that used to me in New Brunswick (near the Quebec border?)

Yes it is KB882 the ex NS Lanc.

Yes they are fiberglass...but a funny aspect is that the Hurri has real Hurri landing gear parts!!!! Very corroded however.

I saw it when it first arrived in Trenton....how it looks today and the amount of work done is impressive!!!!

When we was last there in 2013, their Hudson project appeared to be coming along nicely, but I haven't heard anything recenty. Are they still working on it?

Saw it stored outdoors....but pretty well advanced.

I guess they have more funds for the Lanc and not enough space for both.

Also, no volunteer work on weekends and week nights.....

Me thinks the biggest challenge will be where and how to display the Lanc indoor.....for sure an extension to the building will be needed....which will be 3x more expensive than the restoration itself!!!
