Absolutely - the hardcore fact checker will be left at home and I hope to be entertained and enjoy a "in the neighborhood of truth" retelling of the Battle of Midway.

Not really a surprise.

I've only seen advert trailers shown on TV here in the UK, and that was enough for me to not even consider going to see it.

Maybe I'll set the DVR when it is available for free and then just not watch it.

I'll still go see it in the theaters.....not much gets me out to spend the money and see things on the big screen these days. And seeing a movie in the theaters is a great experience, as long as the movie is good!

Never ceases to amaze me at how insulting and disrespectful to real and tragic history these phony overdone CGI messes are. Leave out the Midway connection, or D-Day connection, or Pearl Harbor connection, etc. etc. and I personally have no problem with them.

Once Hollywood starts to use this way-over-the-top CGI nonsense and places a sort of warped idea that this is fine to base on a true WWII event, that's when it crosses the line for me. Far too much tragic history that needs to be portrayed with common sense and respect for those who gave all and shouldn't be sacrificed for the sake of entertainment and money making.

I've never been a fan of this overdone CGI stuff to somehow portray historic events. The Pearl Harbor survivors VIP event that showed that pathetic movie on a US Carrier at PH many years ago still leaves me disgusted to this day. The look on the faces of some of the vets that attended was tragic.

DON'T MESS WITH HISTORY!!!! or the truth gets lost.
