VWoC: Was driving around with your dad fun?

Fri Oct 11, 2019 1:24 pm

Did you had as much fun when driving around with your dad???

Nice quick visit while I was around Ottawa / Gatineau.

Happy to report that John Aitken is doing well!!!! Thank you sir for your gracious time showing me around.

Also nice to see their Hurri (Ex: Harry Whereatt of Assiniboia, Saskatchwan) getting closer to flight!

Hoping you had a nice flight Dave, it seemed to me you were relaxing in the back and that your dad still has a very steady hand on the procedures and the controls!

Cheers.

It sure was! Thanks, Michel!

He's 85, and I had the chance to give him a checkout on the Harvard IV! He taught me my taildragger skills when I was 17, so it's full circle!

He relished the challenge -- and had fun!

He flew us to VWoC in his C-170, and he also flies his Stampe SV4B regularly, so I wasn't too worried about his hands and feet.
