The PBJ sat in Harlingen for quite a while. When the decision was made to bring it to Camarillo it was discovered that one of the outer wing panels had to be replaced in order to fly it here. It was quite a job. We flew a good wing panel in our "China Doll" a c-46. The guys spent a lot of time working out the details to get the outer wing in and out of the C-46. I can't talk too much about the previous restoration to fly, but I have to tell you that the workmanship was pretty poor. We found things that were done that if the pilot that flew the plane to Camarillo knew about them he wouldn't have stepped onto the plane.

One of the guys on our crew has an up to date chronology and I will be happy to post it as soon as I can get a copy. There are many variants of the PBJ going back to D models. Our PBJ which was built in one of the last lots will have the Radome on the right wing tip. Some variants had the Radome in the glass nose.

This B-25 As far as I know is stil sitting at Franklin airport in Va. When Iwas in the navy it was there with a blown engine. I saw it again in early 2002 while on a cross country trying to build multi time. it was in a hanger being polished still with no engine attached. Last I heard it was sitting on the ramp being reclaimed by the earth. Interesting to note there were 2 T-28A's on the ramp disassembled.
