This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Any news on the U-2 flyover rumor?
What is the skinny on the P-51 run up?
With Doc and FiFi there, any chance they'd put them up together?
U2 flyover and possible touch n go mentioned on webinar but nothing said on which day it would happen.
P-51 mass run up, I assume like the one in 2015 that had 14 Stangs lined up.
Doc will be at Airventure and Appleton (Wed/Thu) selling rides. Fifi will only be in Appleton (Tue-Fri) selling rides. They might share the air but I highly doubt they will be in formation together.

Via the live cams, A-26 with 21 on the tail, haven't seen it before I don't think. Could this be the surprise A-26? N# ???

.
A U2 overflight and possible touch and go, I know exactly where I'll be standing for that. I'm already assigned to the warbird area, that is right at the end of the runway.... Since I'm shooting for the EAA, I should have clearance to be at the end of the runway as I did last year. Hello head on U2 takeoff shot!
I'll also have awesome access for the P51 gathering and runup.
Now that I know what to expect at Oshkosh, I know how and where to shoot it from. I'm looking forward to an epic week of shooting, starting tomorrow evening.

Nice. How will the P-51 runup be setup? Between 18-36 and the crowd line?

Just an FYI, campgrounds at Oshkosh have all been declared “slow, no wake”.

Yep, and the field has effectively been closed since mid afternoon, with no turf parking since it took so much rain. Tomorrow's ATC will be a zoo. Great forecast for the coming week though.

I'm thinking, depending on how many show up, they might do something similar to what they did with the T6s last year. I highly doubt there will be that many P-51s however.
I made an inquiry about the U2 and its only a rumor. So much for that one. Perhaps a takeoff shot of Rod Lewis's Mosquito? XP-82? We'll see what presents itself.

What is it that they did with the T-6s last year? I wasn't there that day.

I seem to remember they filled Scott's Warbird Alley with them and then did a runup , kind of like the B-25's the year before

The B-25H "Barbie III" is on its way to Oshkosh right now. Although not configured as such, the EAA's B-25 "Berlin Express" is also an H-model, thus the only two flying B-25H's in the world will be both at Oshkosh this week.
