Xp-82 will be in osh almost all week if not the whole week. It is supposed to arrive there this week or next and will stay at the museum until AirVenture next to the xp-51. Tuesday and Saturday are the flying days I believe.

It's apparently expected to fly twice during the week, even though it's not mentioned what the other day will be.

Aerial Firefighting Theme
The aerial firefighting theme has been one of the bigger question marks so far, since it’s a broad theme and few details have been provided. The webinar revealed that currently committed aircraft include a C-130 Hercules with MAFFS, a CL-215, a BAE-146, an AT-802, a Shrike Commander, an A-26 Invader, and a US Forest Service C-23 Sherpa with smoke jumpers.

I wonder which A-26? Surely this would be a restored warbird variant?

There was a yellow A-26 with a Canadian reg at a small airport north of Bakersfield CA that I saw last year, maybe this one?

That A-26 hasn't flown for years, and isn't in any condition to fly, so it won't be that one. Saw it a few days ago, still looking sad.

Oddly enough I have been working on the model kit of C-FAGO

The Champaign Aviation Museum also has an ex-Airspray Invader but as far as I know it isn't in airworthy condition.

Wouldn’t a logical guess be the young guy that has brought his A-26C several times in recent years? It’s polished aluminum with blue cowlings. They don’t say it’s going to be an A-26 in tanker configuration.

Tim Savage's Silver Dragon, Tim comments here plenty. It'll be at Thunder don't see why it wouldn't be at OSH. The way the post sounded, it seemed like it would be a more uncommon A-26, but I don't know of any in firefighting conditions.

Where's the "Fire Eater"?

The A-26 “Fire Eaters” is part of the Vietnam War Flight Museum in Texas. I don’t know if it flew at all last year, but it was flying at least as recently as 2017. It has remained one of the 16 A-26’s I have marked as active, worldwide.

Both of the Vietnam War Flight Museum A-26's have moved on to new homes. "Fire Eaters" now lives in Waco, TX last I heard, but I couldn't tell you when it last flew.

I'm fairly positive I know which "fire fighter" A-26 will be coming to Oshkosh, but I can't say for sure without owner's permission. I also don't know if the plan 100% came to fruition. IF it is the one I'm thinking of, its been a regular flyer, and you will be pleasantly surprised by the paint scheme.
