This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

The Military Aviation Museum is planning to feature the P-39 this year.
"Introducing the newest addition to the museum's flying aircraft collection, an ultra rare P-39 Bell Airacobra! With only three flying examples in the world, don't miss out on this chance to see real living history."
I assume this means that they plan to fly it!

I don't see the P-39 on the on-line flight schedule yet. Has she arrived yet from New Zealand?
http://militaryaviationmuseum.org/airsh ... -schedule/But with the Fw-190 and Bf-109 on the schedule I think it is a must for me again this year (I'm local)
Also note the Dixie Wings King Cobra looks to visit again.
start your weather prayers and good vibes going now....

I, too, am a local yokel. I just got their email update today, and that's all the information I have.

Checked the website just last nite and am pleased that they have hooked up their hanger cams, still missing the Fighter Factory maintenance hanger cam. was interesting to see their hanger cat patrolling the floor and taking a nap whenever the urge to rest. Am really thinking of going this year, just got to convince the "BOSS" and see if she will give the green light. Last went in 2016 and being retired now , got plenty of time.

4 days to go until the airshow. As a local I can say the weather forecast looks quite good. A few showers today (Tuesday May 14), but then party cloudy the rest of the week and low 80's by the weekend. Low chances of showers, but likely won't have a lasting effect. The ground is NOT saturated like it was for some previous years. If you have been skunked by weather in previous years, I cautiously say this might be the year to make the trip.
Looking forward to the Me-109 and FW-190 especially.

The Pioneer Aero team are on-site to do the re-assembly, but the P-39 was (is?) held up at the border.

I'm pumped! The P-39 arrived today (as seen on Facebook), and I stepped out my back door this afternoon just as the PBY flew past over Coinjock Bay.
All I had time for was a cell phone shot.

I went today (Saturday) and great show as usual. The P-39 arrived yesterday I believe and was still awaiting wings a prop to be fitted. Really enjoyed seeing the me-109 and fw-190. Weather was great, first time I had seen them take off and land towards the east due to wind direction. Usual format: light aircraft, trainers, navy (corsair, avenger, wildcat, pby ,a-1) us army (P-51, b-25, etc). europe (spit, hurricane, ju-52, yak) German 109, 190.
The me-109 was “claiming her territory” with plenty of oil on the right side of the fuselage and on the ramp post flight.
No me-262.
Mosquito did not fly. Mechanical issue I believe.

I heard that the Mosquito has a bad engine. The weather today was perfect, and there was a lot of flying.
