We thought about building a trap similar to that, but her idea (she's doing the engineering on this) is to dig a hole,
put M&M's and beef jerky in a bowl, put a mattress in the bottom of the hole, (so he/she doesn't get hurt falling in)
cover the hole with sticks, and leaves, maybe even a blanket. and then when he/she /they (you never know) fall in
we're going to take a picture.( This is strictly catch and release.) She said "Poppa we could sell the picture for a thousand
dollars!! we'll be rich!".
I'll admit there are a few questions, For starters, a 60 year old overfed truck driver, might have a bit of a problem digging
a hole deep enough and wide enough for 7-10 foot tall 800 lb gorilla to fall into. and the plan also doesn't take into account how the bigfoot would know there was a bowl of M&M's and beef jerky in the hole to begin with. Not to mention, not having access to a backhoe, I'm left with a pick and shovel. And we're limited to the state of Wisconsin, and weekends. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.
Wow this thread hijacking thing is pretty easy. I hope Mr Gillespie will forgive me. :drinkers:

Please do me a favor if this works out and you catch it ask him/her/shim if he knows where any good warbird wrecks are located. Especially Corsairs or P-40's.

Sasquatch has a superb sense of smell. Even tho they smell bad, their smeller is real good! After extensive perfessional research I can assure you they find Jack Links Beef Jerky irresistible no matter what steps you take to hide it from them...soooo!

Gotcha Pinecastle I'll add that question to the list. And airnutz, I figured jacklinks was on to something. I'll give periodic updates as to our progress. we have to get cracking as she hasn't discovered boys yet.

You might want to try this:

1. Dig a 10 ft diameter by 10 ft deep, round pit
2. Take a bag of ashes from your fireplace
3. Cover the bottom of the pit with the ashes
4. Bigfoot is a herbivore, get a can of Green Giant green peas
5. Line the ground along the top of the pit with the peas
6. Hide out of sight behind a tree and wait for Bigfoot
7. When Bigfoot goes to take a pea
8. Kick him in the ash hole

Bingo!

A good time for a little experiment...just before you start the camera rolling, secretly tuck a couple pieces of jerky on him and let the fun begin...

Another great idea. I can see it now.... rustling in the bushes, airnutz waiting patiently, bigfoot appears, annnd ACTION!
sound of impact. "hey airnutz the lens cap was on can you, can you let him hit you again?"

This time I looked for a date stamp...

"Amelia Earhart discovery?
Researchers eye Papua New Guinea 'wreck site'
Wreckage off Buka Island could be from Earhart’s Lockheed Electra 10E.
Bill Snavely & Project Blue Angel
"

Well... at least it's NOT from TIGHAR:
