Rob,

Never knew you were also active in the recovery business, what aircraft have you recovered so far?

Hi Col

Please take it easy on the French - They have had a dickens of a bad time what with being invaded by the germans twice, all the bad press the Napoleon brought them , a couple of tiffs with the Pommies and not to mention the EEC.

I would also warn you that the Louve does bag searches so no taking any "samples". I also appologise in advance on their behalf that the Mona Lisa is so small - it was the only bit of canvas he had left!!!!

I have also tipped off US Customs and imigration not to fall for you bringing back any more "Executive assistants - they are wise to that old scam"

As always should you get into the anticipated trouble the full resources of the Sunshine state Air Farce are at your disposal and are on standby.

Kindest regards

The City Of Lights will be in flames by the weekend! Have fun , Rob! As your Trusted Leftenant, you can be sure the Militia and the Republic is in Good Hands! Sir John, if an Exfiltration become necessary, I'm relying on you and the Sunshine State Air Farce to provide diversionary assistance on the Eastern Front!

Hi Don and Rob

Don we are on standby to assist as required - phrasebooks at the ready

Tanks are Moxied up just in case - if we need to get him out again I have tasked the actual evacuation to a team of specialist beach bunnies from the Gold Coast as they are the only ones the Col is likely to pay any attention to. We have cunningly turned the eifle Tower into a three stage Intercontinental Ballistic Black Fly Scone operative retrival system. The Beach Bunnies will smuggle him onto the observation deck and he will then get the ride of his life all the way back to Maine. As agreed your part as Commander in Chief will be the actual rescue at the Louve - I trust you have a plan for this which involves Booze and women as usual and in keeping with the finest traditions of the Snowball Milita

Parker out

Col

Enjoy yourself in the confidance that as one of WIX's Masterminds and true believers you are too valuable to lose (this week anyway) and that come what may, we will protect you

Kindest regards

Sir John,
As Always, Thank You For Your Support! Yes there is a plan in place involving Scantilly Clad Scandinavians, but for security's sake, I must omit the details on an unsecure channel  I have the super-secret decoder ring all warmed up and ready to receive. To the Colonel; Good Luck and Godspeed!

I thought the software prevented that. I think I still have a copy installed on my machine, I will look into it and report to Scott if we have a way to prevent that from happening again in the future.

Guest Issues

Sat Aug 28, 2004 9:18 pm

I have been looking into the issue we seem to be having with guests assuming the identity of registered users. I have found that indeed, it is not possible to post as a guest and use the same name as a regestered user. However, someone is indeed playing silly buggers with us. What is happening is our commedian is using subscripted letters for the name, so to the eye they appear the same, but to the computer they are different and it lets the post go through. After looking through the phpBB documentation and support forums, the only way to prevent this kind of abuse seems to be disabling guest posting entirely, which would most likely drive away our infrequent visitors who often provide us with great information,
