I didn't know they had a first one.

The last official reunion of the Zero Fighter Pilots Association, held on 13 September 2014, Yasukuni Shrine Tokyo.

Below a photo from a POF show when three zero's were up and flying and the old TFL's zero and Corsair playing war.

I forget what year it was.
POF had a Japanese group reunion during one of their airshows.
If I remember correctly it was one of the P-38 gathering years.
It was AMAZING to see a younger Japanese (actor?) inwhat looked to be a real correct flight suit.
While they did a pic shoot on the POF Zero.
While all the Japanese remaining pilots that could attend as well as navy remaining crew members with their families.
It was quite a group of folks!
Watching them HIGHLY focused on the full fire up process, taxi out, and flight of the Zero.
Was a memorable moment for sure.

Thank you for sharing Mark!!!!

What a telling picture!!!!

War is atrocious. But whatever the side, they were all young men with “imposed” ideology who fought for their country purely for what felt what was right….at the time. That is what we must respect….

It seems even some of their kids are there with banners. Not sure on this one. And the cuty in the back….

Tks for sticking around and being so generous...

Happy holiday season to all.....

Not many Occidentals were invited to this event.

Anybody else spot WIX's very own "Kaigun fan" (Row 5 on the right side).

Kudos, Ron. :drink3:
