The Bearcat at Oshkosh this year is the Tom Wood Aviation example (it came to Oshkosh last year too).

Just updating some figures - we closed the day with 365 Warbirds registered, including 87 T-6’s. Both records since at least 2009. The “USO Show” in the Living History (reenactors) area but Aeroshell is just diving in for the night air show. Should be interesting!

I didn't see "That's All Brother" in the parking area, but it was possible to catch it when flying.







This is Dakota N472AF with Vintage Wings of Indiana, looking like it has had some work put into it and may be going back into its RCAF markings (it was KG668/12942).





Yes, it's a warbird; a V77, presumably ex Royal Navy.



The sky and clouds got interesting for a short time in the evening before the rain.



I love retro airline markings on a DC-3.

Best time to get a good clean look at the WWI birds was when they were being put to bed.







The restorer of this L-4 even reproduced the overspray from the edges of the stencil plate used to paint the codes on it. Nice touch.

Wow! Whose DH4 is that? Never new there was one airworthy?!

That particular DH-4 was built by the "Friends of Jenny" organization. It has not flown yet, but will be test flown in a couple months (and they have some big plans for it): https://www.eaa.org/en/airventure/eaa-a ... y-aviation

The Vintage Aviator collection in New Zealand also operates this one, which runs a Liberty V-12 as well, and the whole aircraft is of course absolutely perfect/accurate in every detail: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/ind ... pic=7238.0

I did miss seeing Bally's Bomber. I couldn't get a definitive answer on where it was other than a vague wave towards homebuilts and I wasn't motivated enough to go looking for it when there were so many warbird and vintage aircraft to look at. Maybe next time!

Bally's Bomber was in the "Replica Fighter Area," which I had a tough time finding as well. It was on Knapp St, just North of the EAA Blue Barn, near Forums Plaza.

I did miss seeing Bally's Bomber. I couldn't get a definitive answer on where it was other than a vague wave towards homebuilts and I wasn't motivated enough to go looking for it when there were so many warbird and vintage aircraft to look at. Maybe next time!

Numerous warbirds supposedly taking part in the airshow shortly, for up to an hour this afternoon. Looking at some of the video coverage taking place right now, the Tigercats, Bearcat, Corsairs, Skyraiders, C-47's, B-17 Yankee Lady, and more are all cranking over. The B-29 "Doc" is staged to fly as well.

It does look like a very good show tonight. At least three of the Skyraiders have also taxied out, and some Mustangs. Wish I was still there!

If there ever was a schedule that told you which day the bigger warbird segments would be at the airshows this year, I never found it.

I think WoA published one online on the EAA site and it was also in the WoA magazine on the days with 60 min shows vs. 30 min shows.
