A little surprised if that info about Kermit's Pup is current, since a couple of weeks ago its cowling came apart on a test flight and shredded some of the fabric on the wings.

It's possible that all four may only be either static display or engine-run only.

Snipe will be (re-)test flown shortly as the only chance at a flier at KOSH.

The Golden Age Air Museum was ready to bring their Fokker Triplane and Sopwith Pup back to Oshkosh but were not invited. Both fly regularly, the Triplane with an original rotary engine.

Tom Kozura (Comstock Park, MI...Grand Rapids area...) is building a Sopwith Camel with an original rotary engine and using authentic Camel parts from various museums/wrecks. He's had the engine out at Oshkosh and a few other places over the past few years. I can't imagine he's more than a few years out from getting it finished, maybe sooner...

I possess no insider knowledge. Certainly any of these gentlemen would prove capable.

I wonder if Dave Morss might be high on that list. He has considerable experience flying test evaluations for MT Propeller, including the tests on the former Polar Bear (XP-51A/D?) with the prop designed for Pat Harker's Twin Mustang.

The Hun was flying again two days after the incident. The wheel/tire were replaced while the plane was still on the runway, took just over an hour. A small fire started from the magnesium in the brake and was immediately put out.

I have not seen any information anywhere else about Dean Cutshall's F-100F making Oshkosh this year. Definitely would not mind seeing it there next month.

Is it planned for Oshkosh, or was someone just saying they thought it might "not" be able to make it because of the failed to deploy parachute incident?

Glad to hear the damage was minor and easily addressed. Yes, the FAA report made it seem like there was far more extensive damage than just replacing the wheel and brake assembly.

Hey folks.
My friend and I are seriously considering bringing our Tiger Moth for the 100th anniversary of the RAF.
A big consideration for us is our requirement to land on grass. (no brakes / tail skid).
Would any of you know who we would have to contact to be able to accommodate this? (maybe land at the pioneer strip?).
Thanks for any thoughts or inputs.

Dan K. Chris Henry, or John T. Any of you guys hearing if the XP-82 is coming to Oshkosh for sure? I really want to see that aircraft in particular, and hopefully see it fly as well. I have not made reservations yet because of that aircraft. Don't get me wrong I like looking at lots of different warbirds, but this will be iconic similar to DOC showing up last year which I witnessed. If there is anything definite in the way of news on the XP-82 I hope it gets posted on WIX, or PM me. Thanks in advance.
