My uncle Kenneth and his tank crew were all lost when the 88mm gun they were attacking got in the first shot on D+2 just behind 'Gold' beach.
I never knew him, but I will never forget.

I'll remember my uncle Bob who flew a WACO CG-4 into France.
RIP to all the brave men who died on the day or in the 74 years since.
