I have no first hand knowledge but I was told, by someone who worked there back then, that the only time all six flew together was for that picture. I think it was taken when they were filming their original movie on the history of the ghost squadron. They updated the movie in the 80s but can see them in the opening sequence of that version on youtube. They appear at the 1:11 mark in the movie. I think it was made in 1974.

Several years ago there were 2 or 3(?) in pieces in a hangar at SMO, what happened to them?

Great News ! Last saw her way back when, in Breckenridge Tx. Airshow with Linda (?) Finch piloting it ! when it was painted silver & blue :D geek pop2
