Are there any Merlin powered P-40's? I was thinking the survivors were converted back to Allisons.

There is at least 2. One is owned by Steven Grey and one by I think, Judy Pay in Australia

Both of the P-40Fs currently airworthy have Curtiss Electric propellers.
Here in Oz, I believe Allan Arthur's and Doug Hamilton's P-40Ns are running Hamilton Standard propellers. Not authentic, but at least blades are available. :)

Going from memory here, but I seem to recall N4420K being rebuilt with such a unit.

At one time she did run a Ham Standard, but in her current configuration has the correct Curtiss Electric.

Thanks for that, Deuelly!

Digressing: I won't be out towards Granite Falls until June. Any chance for a status report on current projects (P-40, SB2C)?

Many TIA.

Does anyone have any more detailed information on the Ham/Stand installation?

I was under the impression that the DC-3/C-47 "toothpick" bladed props were the ones of choice, but have also heard that the 6353A-18 blades can be "reprofiled" to the original Curtiss blade profile?

Would really like to know more about this matter.... anyone have any photo's of the spinner attachment to the prop hub?
