WIX Challenge Coin

Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:40 am

The concept of a WIX Challenge coin has come up again and I'm curious as to interest as well as what would members be willing to pay. Profits will go towards supporting the site.

I have about 20 Challenge coins. Together they'd weigh 2 pounds. I never carry any of them.

What will you do if you are ever "challenged"?

Meh.
I have a bunch of them, myself. I've only ever paid for one, and that was for the B-17 at the 8th AF museum in Savannah as I like how it looked.
I never carry one anymore and haven't for a very long time.

Only pogues do that. I never once had anyone challenge me, even though I always carried one of my many coins when I was still active duty.

I don't doubt you at all but I will relate this story. My Brother and I were at the ICAS conference in Las Vegas several years ago and were walking around the conference floor looking at the booths. We walked by the SF 'Black Daggers' jump team booth and these two guys behind the table were carrying on about their time in SWA and operations they had done (blah blah blah). My brother who served three tours with the 19th SF grinned and pulled out his CJSOTFA coin and plunked it down saying something like, "good to meet brothers who have been there". They both went slack jawed and then quickly worked out a time to meet him at the bar! So, carrying your coin 'might' be of value especially if you are going to brag about it LOL!
