A Hurri and 2 Spits. Nice photos by Peter Handley in the P-51.

http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-ne ... itain.htmlI wish them the best of luck re serviceability this weekend in the Flypast at Gatineau... sure I do... of course I do... but the back-up airplane is a P-51... and the owner is away... and I just happen to be current...

Dave it was Peter took the shots from the Harvard, Paul Kissman was the pilot. With Mike away to Australia looks like just the Mk IX and Hurricane for Sunday. We have the P51 tucked away in a corner of the hangar for you though!

Thanks for sharing those Dave, that last shot is really evocative. It's also wonderful to see both Spits flying together (is this the first time?).

First time both Spits were in the air together, unfortunately Mike won't be available for the Sunday flypast as he will be out of the country. Plan is to fly the Spit 9 and Hurricane.

Give Kent Beckham or Pete Spence a call.
They've both flown the XVI
(Can't blame a guy for tryin')

Yep. They both pointed that out at my retirement party.
BTW, everyone liked your departure in the Moth off runway 35. Looked and sounded lovely. All heads turned!

Total success. Our 2 aircraft flew and performed impeccably, the RCAF conducted their formal Parade at our hangar, the General and the veterans liked it, and the weather was perfect.
Mind you, it took a certain RV6a to add the grace note to the airfield...
