Here are some photos from the 2017 Breckenridge Air Show. Weather started off sunny and became gloomy about noon with off and on rain showers and occasional lightning in the nearby area. As you might guess, photographing the planes in the air was, shall we say, "challenging" at best. Still a great day, and it brought back a lot of great memories! WIX's own Carl Best flew a great acro in his yellow T-6G (thanks, Carl!).

Airplanes in attendance, from memory:
3 x B-25 Mitchell (Super Rabbit, Devil Dog, God And Country)
1 x A-26 Invader (Night Mission)
2 x C-47 types (Sky King, Southern Cross)
1 x F7F Tigercat (Here Kitty Kitty)
1 x FM-2P Wildcat (formerly owned by Howard Pardue)
1 x SB2C Helldiver
1 x TBM Avenger
3 x Corsair
1 x Sea Fury T.Mk.20S
1 x Spitfire Mk. IX
5 x P-51D Mustang (Go Buggy, Miss A, Lou IV, Dakota Kid, Nervous Energy)
2 x P-40 Warhawk
1 x P-64 replica
1 x C-45 Expeditor
1 x Grumman Widgeon
1 x P-38 Lightning (Thoughts of Midnight)
3 x T-28 Trojan
9 Tora birds (2 x Kate, 1 x Val, 6 x Zero)
Bunches of AT-6/SNJ types
2 x O-1 Bird Dog
Several PT types
1 x Stearman N2S-3
2 x Stinson Reliant
1 x Stinson 108, polished to an incredible shine!
1 x Siai Marchetti high wing turboprop taildragger, neat airplane
2 x brand new Air Tractors (one Ag, one SEAT)
1 little Fairchild in Japanese markings (?)
1 x Waco YMF (late model, GORGEOUS)

(I may have forgotten some; apologies for this. Feel free to add more!)

Most of the heavy iron flew in the show, but the P-38 and two of the Corsairs did not. Sure was great to see the Tigercat fly!

That's all I have that's worthy of being seen by the public.

Any pictures of the Brewster Corsair or FHAM Corsair at Ezell's place?

Those are great, Dean, thank you very much for sharing them! Just the over-all shots that I saw on Facebook of the ramp/airport with all of the parked warbirds reminded me of the old videos I watched as a kid of some of the airshows that took place there. Pretty cool to see Brent Hisey's Mustang and Mitchell out and about. I saw on Facebook some photos by Scott Slocum of four of the Corsairs up in formation over Breckenridge, and judging by your photos, it looks as though Warren Pietsch put on one of his typical superb displays in the TFL Spitfire (I'm looking forward to seeing him flying the Zero again, as soon as it is completed).

Thanks for sharing the photos! Very nice to see "Nervous Energy" back up and flying!

Sorry, no. We hiked over to Ezell's hangar to have a look around, but we learned that you had to have a special wristband ("aircrew and show officials only") to get inside. From the ramp we could see the project aircraft tucked away in the far back corner of the hangar, but I wouldn't have been able to get any decent pictures. I really wanted to see the F3A up close. I guess we'll just have to wait until it's up and flying!

She has been flying regularly since 2012, but had been known as "Boo Man Choo" for a few years, when owned/operated by the late Ray Hoffman. The cartoon artwork has been kept, but the original "Nervous Energy" name now returned.

Here are some photos that Rob Mears took over the weekend and shared to Facebook of the Slattery Brewster and FHCAM Goodyear Corsairs:

The Brewster Corsair (slated to be completed in-time for Oshkosh this summer (the TFL Bearcat too, by the sound of it)). -

The FHCAM FG-1D, which will be flying just about any day now (first commitment is for it to be flying at the FHCAM event being held in Everett already on June 24th). According to Rich Palmer, who used to wrench on this aircraft, the center section of this aircraft was found to also originally have been manufactured by Brewster as well, as a contracted assembly sent to Goodyear. -

Thanks, was wondering what all I missed, looked like a great show, with lots of aircraft I hadn't seen before!
