It is the ex-Fisk TBM. As of today we have not confirmed exactly what will be going to AirVenture. A very strong bet would be Sierra Sue II, the TBM and Corsair. Will let you know when plans are finalized.

Of course, the museum already has a Fat Man test "pumpkin" on display.

On one hand, it could make for an interesting display (and photo op) on the ramp with the Superforts.

On the other, demonstrating some sensitivity for the many international visitors from former axis countries seems prudent.

Wouldn't know, the EAA shuts us little people out of the Eagle Hangar for the week of our free admission to the museum.

Didn't see it posted, but we will be bringing the C-123K back up again this year for a second attempt.

The "Thunder Pig" is the 4th aircraft photo showing in the left to right scroll of the FLICKR photos in the aircraft highlights link on the EAA AirVenture web site:

Look forward to seeing the C-123 there again!

There was a time when "FIFI" did simulated A-Bomb drops complete with mushroom cloud at airshows...

From a source, Warbird Radio had Mr. Ezell on who mentioned the Brewster Corsair and TFLM Bearcat should be ready for Oshkosh! 8)

I'm assuming there will be at least 1 B-17 attending? I've always wanted to compare a B-17 and B-29 next to each other. Hoping this year I'll finally get the chance

If nothing else, there is usually the EAA's B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" there giving rides.
