My dad loved P-51's more than life. NO matter what someone said about a Mustang that was filled with bondo or corrosion. or a project that was hopeless, he would retort "Yeah, but it's a P-51!" That's true with these B-17 projects as well. Beats working on spam cans.

I'm learning sheet metal forming without the extinct tooling. Can you go into detail how the formers are made?

If I understand your query correctly Chris, have you seen sdennison's thread, "4 sticky's" below the "Special K" thread titled, "Not Sure, Anyone Interested?"? " There's some good stuff in there...
