It'd be great if a) the Bearcat story were true and 2) they could be released and exported. I love stuff like this.

One of the F-5s ended up in Poland when the Cold War was still on.
I would imagine some of the more modern stuff went to the USSR.
Some if the helicopters could be used by North Korea for infiltrating agents (since they'd look just like South Korean helicopters) reportedly they bought some Hughes 500s (OH-6s) on the civil market for such work.

If you look at the south end of the Ben Hoa image, there are two US looking aircraft. One looks like it is either an F-5 or F-104 and the propeller ac looks like it could be a T-34.

I wouldn't think it's a 104, none were s supplied to the VNAF, likewise the T-34.

Sure looks like A-1's. There used to be a compound there that had about 15 A-1's, now empty - wouldn't be surprised if some of these were moved over from one spot to another.

It's for sale on Courtesy Aircraft. They got the serial wrong (66-7975) - that's a T-bird and was still active with the USAF until a few years ago.

I wonder if you could get spares from D-M off T-37s to help with the restoration?
