Cannot save them all I guess. I wonder if they will throw in the picnic table as part of the deal?

I have a friend who lives in Rosamond. Trying to get him to let me keep it in his backyard if I buy it...

Saw that and immediately checked under Illinois - no Chanute planes, but Scott AFB is selling seven guitars :?

Doesn't the Kansas museum need a wing tank to replace a storm damaged unit?

I can afford it - three, at that price  - but I imagine transport to New Zealand would be a little more expensive.

I have heard rumors that it is.
A person at the museum told me that landing that BUFF at Everett was a mistake, that the original request was to land at SeatTac, and once the engines were shut down, the museum was screwed because they couldn't get the plane to fly the short hop South to the museum. And there it sits, to this very day. Now that they have the massive covered space at the museum, that BUFF would have looked great next to the B-17 and B-29...

Just a heads-up that there is a plan to use the B-52 currently located at Paine Field, Everett, WA for a Vietnam war memorial near Seattle's Museum of Flight, so she won't be getting scrapped. See page 16 in the museum's March-April ALOFT magazine for the story:

http://www.museumofflight.org/user_area ... .pdf?w=640

Look for:
Seattle Museum of Flight Aloft Magazine | March-April 2016 | Volume 38, Number 2
