Can we expect any of the following at the show this week?

Spitfire
Hurricane
Mosquito
P-47
P-38
Dauntless
B-24

Great event! I am enjoying this more than I could imagine, so is my son!

Love the FedEx 767, it is on its maiden voyage from the Boeing Plant in Everett. The pilot is in the room next to us.

I think my Dad and I must have talked to you. We were around aisle 368 and waiting for the QF-4s to arrive. I was the one in the Airshow of Warsaw shirt.

I know this probably isn't the biggest priority for those of you who like heavy iron, but I would highly recommend taking a good look at the warbugs and L-birds to anyone who is here. The attention to detail and authenticity on several of those aircraft is unbelievable. The L-5 known as "Horsefly" is particularly impressive. The Sandbar Mitchell crew also has an interesting display with their B-25 nose.

To the poster who asked about several specific types in attendance, the Texas Flying Legends Spitfire IX and Rod Lewis' P-47 were both in the warbird area when I left today. Nice to see most of the TFL fleet back, including the Corsair that has been repaired since its taxying mishap involving the TFL Zero.

Bummer about the A-20, but still plenty to see!

I hope everything is tied down. Looks like some heavy weather approaching Oshkosh from the west.

Gentlemen, you're entirely welcome, but you're much too kind with my photography.

I appreciate all the professionals who provide the truly quality pics, but lugging big lenses around just isn't my thing.

I also stopped fighting the crowds for the ideal photo and began incorporating people in. Crossing paths with the fellow in the wheelchair and his little girl right by "Devil Dog", I mean, c'mon, how can a person NOT include the people in your pics?

I spent several minutes talking with Roger Keys, the fellow setting up the TDR-1 Drone project. What he's attempting with the TDR is exactly what I'm attempting with the TBY, so we hit it off quick. For those interested in learning more about this project and TDR operational history, check out:

And to touch base with Roger:

I'm planning on being back at Wittman on Friday...any requests for pics?

Much posted on youtube already, but the following covers a fair amount of Sunday's warbird arrivals, including Tri-State's P-40M:

I can see a C-123 from my window here so we do have at least one in attendance. Two would have been better - sorry to hear about the scratch.

Another unfortunate scratch is Rod Lewis' A-20. It lost an engine 100 miles short of OSH and is down safely (AFAIK) but will not attend.

We are the only one flying currently

Glad to hear we did make it up there. Hadn't seen any photos posted of it yet and didn't see any news posted on our Facebook page posted by my other page moderator. hopefully if this year is a success for us, we will be able to continue bringing either it or the C-47 there in the future.

Haha, it's always fun watching people gawk at us when we have to park ourselves into a tight spot. Most people do not realize some radials and their associated prop systems have that capability.
