How do you feel this will affect Warbird values in aircraft below the 6,000 lb weight limit. Now Pilots will be able to fly an aircraft up to 6,000 lbs with a Drivers License and no physical.

When LSA went in to effect the value of LSA aircraft shot up as many older pilots fled to LSA but recently I have seen a lot of Champs, Cubs, Ercoupes etc., on the market and prices have been dropping most likely from the anticipation of passage of the Bill of Rights.

This Bill could help the values of some aircraft like L-19s and L-17s, T-41B and O-2s but could possibly hurt LSA Warbirds.

The airplane market is much like the antique car market, in that out side of a few desirable high end models, price is driven by condition more than anything else. The LSA rules created a market niche for those qualifying aircraft that drove up prices, but the higher weight limit opens up so many other options (ie, almost everything SEL) that I doubt you'll see much price movement at all. Prices will still be set more by condition, remaining engine life, and such. That will drive prices, just as it did pre LSA.

I wonder if insurance companies will set their own rules like they usually do. You want to fly around a 6,000lb "light" twin with no medical? I doubt they'd go for it.

A FWIW thought......I know a few years ago where I worked at, there was a discussion of whether or not a UAV operator needed to be a licensed pilot.
