I'm only able to attend 1 day this year, does anyone know when the A-20 is scheduled to fly? I would love to see that and the Mars fly if possible.

Not 100% confirmed, but likely Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Thanks! I wish I could make it all week, but it just isn't in the cards this year.

Awesome! I was glued to them at work during last year's AirVenture, the time difference meant I could catch a good two-three hours when I arrived.

We likely will not know "100%" until it gets here, unfortunately.

Please note: "Thu 7/28 10am Aircraft - AH-1 “Cobra” and OV-1 “Mohawk” with Col. William Reeder" The Huey has been replaced with an AH-1.

Also, the EA-6B has cancelled. Martin Mars will also fly on Sunday, depart Monday.

So as we are on the eve of the event looking back at the hopefuls from March it appears that neither P-82 will be ready, and Doc may be flying but not cleared to travel yet. The A-20 and P-47 of Lewis Air will be there. Any surprises left? I would really love to see white 33 show up unannounced. Anybody have any evidence to support or deny that hope?

Not that we are aware of.

Very nice! I was at the Eden Prairie show a number of years back and Barbie III was there but I only arrived in time to see her make a single pass before departing. It will be great to see her up close finally.

The Air Force has confirmed TWO QF-4 Phantoms arriving Monday (After the airshow) and departing on Thursday.

Expect both aircraft to arrive just after 1800 local on Monday.

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately I am unable to attend the pre-OSH jet blast at SBM (wish I could!). Neither can my buddy Carl S. who sometimes flies my T-33 (and Sabre). Doug M. is attending in the Skyblazers F-86 and maybe his T-33 as well since he has other pilots who fly his planes. Vlado usually flies the red on silver T-33, but I don't know what the owner's plans are. After an engine overhaul and a one year airframe restoration, my F-86 ran for the first time yesterday in 13 years and it went really well. Just have to address a few minor things. Fingers crossed it'll make OSH as the 4th Sabre. Once AirVenture begins, we plan to make a number of flights to/from SBM with those airplanes as it will act as a jet warbird out-base.

Thanks, Paul. And congrats to you and everyone involved on the successful engine run!

We all know you'll progress carefully with her. Just be sure to pack extra shop rags for Wittman to wipe off all the drool.
