Fair warning, WIXers.

Before responding to this invitation, I implore you to examine the following.

Look carefully at these participants of stated "WIX Gatherings" of the past.

Now ask yourself, "Are these 'warbird enthusiasts' REALLY the type of individual with whom I wish to associate? Would I drop off my wife or daughter at the local mall knowing these miscreants were on the same premises?"

If your answer is still, "Yes"...well then, so is mine.

That mob looks pretty tame to me :D
I will be camping at Osh with around 130 South Africans...now that is scary

I will be there from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday. I'm going to try to get there Tuesday night or real early Wednesday as I want to see Dick Cole during his Warbirds in Review session Wednesday morning.

I'd be down for a WIX gathering! We'll be camping in the north 40 or possibly the warbird campground.

I'll be camping all week in Camp Scholler.

Any news on warbirds (props or jets) that have not been announced yet?

Or any updates on when some aircraft will arrive/depart or fly during the week?

If there will be any announcements, it will be tonight during the EAA AirVenture Features and Attractions Webinar.

Any chance of Ms. Evelyn making Tommy's Hot Dog Salad again?

It appears Warbird Heritage Foundation is bringing their entire fleet; AD1, A4, F86, L19, L39, N2S3, P51, T2, T6, T28. Also, listed as expected to attend on the Airventure site is the NASA Super Guppy which I don't think has been officially announced (2nd picture) http://www.eaa.org/en/airventure/featur ... raft-areas

We're going to bring a number of the WHF birds up, but not all of them as we don't have enough pilots.

I sure hope that the Skyhawk, Sabre and Skyraider are amongst those that can make it

I will second that, those 3 are among my favorites of the WHF birds!

But I would really like to see the WHF T-2B Buckeye there, as it is a very rare airworthy jet warbird in North America and it would be terrific to see a Tailhook Legacy Flight with the Buckeye included.

Three, hopefully four F-86s:

Outstanding! Here's hoping for FOUR, but I won't quibble about THREE! Whether 3 or 4, would be nice to see a 3 or 4 ship Sabre formation also.....

And any idea how many T-33's may be showing up? Sure would be nice to see a 4-ship flyby like they had there a couple of years ago.

Three T-33s that I know of are coming--Doug Matthews', one of John Swatrz's and my NATO camo RCAF bird. The year-long restoration on my Canadair Sabre Mk VI is finishing up and should be the 4th F-86 at OSH so long as we don't hit any eleventh hour snags. Fingers crossed.
