Possible B-45 cockpit section that survivies

A month ago I came across a google photo of a B-45 cockpit section sitting out someplace in a desert. I should have saved the page, but I didn't. Now I can't located it. I have no idea if it was a old photo or not. But it WAS a color photograph showing a B-45 cockpit section.

Any help would be grateful!

thanks for the reply. Nope, its not the B-57. the B-45 cockpit section I saw was cut a few feet behind the cockpit.

I helped recover the B-45 and B-47 nose sections from Soccoro when I was a volunteer at Pima ages ago. Fred Lindig and I brought them back. Being the stupid kid I asked Fred if I could ride in the B-47 on the trailer for a while and he said sure and pulled over. I crawled up into the cockpit and thought how cool it would be to play Jimmy Stewart and fly down the freeway. Rumor at the time was that this cockpit was used in the movie Strategic Air Command but that was never confirmed as far as I know.

Off we went down the road and it was very cool for the first 30 seconds until decades of Soccoro dust and dirt started flying around me going in one nostril and out the other and pelting every other sensitive part on my face. In between choking and spitting I was hollaring and waving at Fred to pull over.

I'm pretty sure he saw me in his mirror but was likely laughing too hard to let on. He probably figured that a few more miles would be good teach me a lesson. It did but it was still fun despite the fact I still cough up bits of Soccoro.
