This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

You have a website, and do not know how to find a visitor's IP address?
LOL.And you are asking him to provide you with the means to ban him?
LOL twoMark:
I appreciate the effort you make publishing the images here. I do not have the time to go looking for them, you do and I thank you for that.
It is not like you have shot all those photos yourself; they all come from somewhere else. Whenever possible, provide credit for them, if not possible, state so, and life goes on.
Let's continue the tribute to those who served, on this Memorial Day.
Saludos, and thank you for your postings.

Mark, I have never taken the time to thank you for all you do for this site.
You have provided so many outstanding and incredible photos. I am not computer literate, and would never be able to enjoy all these if you did not provide them here.
I am also envious that you have your own personal troll. Best thing to do is ignore them. That really pisses them off. If you don't believe me, just watch.

The SB2C looks really strange painted all yellow.
I love that nose turret cover on the B-24!

Your all very welcome, my pleasure as always and as always I appreciate the kind words.
I have to remind, and be reminded, that WIX is NOT a Historical "think tank" where scholars come to dissect WW2 History. It's not even really designed for intense historical discussions or debate and I usually only post to learn and not so much to teach. Scott Rose (IMO) created WIX for exactly what WIX stands for (Warbird Information Exchange) and if there's history added to the discussions regarding WARBIRDS then it seems to be encouraged and supported. No question I've taken my threads far far into the overall historical aspects of what these old airplanes were about and so far myself and others who do go this route have been awarded some slack and appreciation by most members and management. If you appreciate it, we appreciate it as well. We all win, but are we, who do post old photos, scholars and experts? Well, I can only speak for myself and say H*LL NO!!!! ... but I try my best to come up with good and accurate info .... AND .... correct and responsible photo sources. I've re-hashed the "original photo sources" enough here to the point of nausea. Bottom line? I do my best to state sources and that's good enough for me. Anyone who has a problem with anything I post, PM me anytime and it's fixed asap. Can't say it enough but unfortunately I keep saying it.
I can also state this: Most of what I post usually has good and accurate information to go with it, but not always and more times than not, someone with better knowledge of the subject comes along and posts great and accurate material. This is why I love to see others who are much more knowledgeable than I come along and "teach me" new things I didn't know. I'm no old airplane scholar, but I'm getting smarter lol.
So for those who feel the need to come in here all riled up with attitude and start a pissing match over 70+ year old photos? I remind you that this is simply an internet forum and NOT Harvard or Yale. If your looking for perfection ..... you'll never get it from me.
Remember those who didn't see their 30's, didn't have a chance to have a family, home, career and life. They earned the right to be remembered with kindness, compassion, sympathy and honor not just Monday, but everyday. Who ever would bitch about whatever anyone would post, with good intentions, in a thread like this should be ashamed. Bitch another day or send me your bitchy PM's. Not here.
Now, back to Memorial Weekend and why we celebrate it ....

Mark Allen M wrote:That's the problem with TROLLS, no class to know when to respect the purpose of why I post thousands of 'nicked' photos. You've been a pain in the *ss ever since you showed up here on WIX posting all YOUR harvested photos and taking BS shots at me. And I know where you harvest your photos because I've been to the same sites. There's never been anything new you've posted that most of us haven't already seen before. And if you ever bothered to used the search tool on this site you'll see 90% of all your pillaged photos have already been posted, researched and discussed long ago. So why don't you take a hike you frickin hypocrite and go back to your video game site that you keep pitching here in every one of your posts.
It's A-holes like you who make my efforts a waste of time. And it's also TROLLS like you who need your *ss kicked.
Sorry to everyone else that I can't hold back from sounding off to these losers that show up from time to time. Sorry it's put a damper into why I started this thread. It was mean't to be an honor to those know fought and died so TROLLS could have a mouth to spout off with. Sad it has to be that way.
WELL SAID!
Thanks for your efforts, this is one of your best!
Take care my friend.

Awesome pictures, Mark, and thank you for posting.
Been remiss in thanking you for many years to acknowledge you for what you do and your many contributions, and think this is about the appropriate time and place to line check. Thanks, mate. Keep 'em coming.

Mark - thanks again; I never really knew how much I appreciated your efforts until that time when you left for a while......the withdrawal symptoms were horrible.
As for that 'other person' - I refrain form posting things on the internet that I wouldn't want my grandkids to see......

Ha! you guys are all classic! (in a great way of course). I'm always happy to post what I dig up for no other reason than YOU GUYS are much smarter than I about these old airplanes and I've learned so much from what others (you guys) have posted that I could write several books by now. So it's me who says "Thank you".
My part is small, your part takes the effort to post your wealth of knowledge. I just hope we can all continue to educate and learn .... and most of all to remember and honor those who matter the most. There's far too many who served and sacrificed everything (all countries) for those of us who have the lives we have to ever forget them. I'll take the heat from time to time (I hope) to continue my part to never forget them.
I think the Warbird Community and the History of these old airplanes co-exist quite well on this forum.
Thanks to Scott Rose.
