Lycoming JB-1 Aircraft Generator Jeep

Anybody ever seen one of these or know anything about it?

I found this photo few years ago and no one has come up with a definite answer as to it's actual, use/purpose, or even if they made more than one of them.
Can anybody help out?
(BTW, I'm also a Jeep Person!)
