Just ordered the Cali Custom polish and deoxidizer system - hopefully in a month or two I will have some photos to share - thanks so much for the tip!! It is awesome to watch your work from afar - amazing stuff!

Engraving was good but it still takes a three hair brush to deposit small droplets of paint into the letters

Scott - do you strip and repaint or just clean it up? The very few cockpit items that I have attempted on our sabre I have just just cleaned with a mild soap and then the paint. . . :shock:

Tom, due to the condition of most everything, I strip, prime and paint new. Much of the cockpit was the wrong texture and wrong color anyway.

How much work can it take to IRAN drop tanks??? Maybe Paul needs to find someone more efficient. LH drop progress. Fin gap seals replaced, filler cap and ring reworked, vent gone through, new o-ring section seals...

120 drop tank release clamp mechanisms. The old ones had petrified wiring so off to the stores we go, three brandi-ass new ones in stock. Packed with a clear grease and nice flexible wiring. Done!

Details, details, details...The weekend was spent in the placard division. There are nearly 200 individual placards that will be placed on the Mk VI. The guide and the masks are for a Mk V and Mk VI so you have to be careful that what the placard points out is actually where it is on the aircraft. Found a few so far that were in different positions but, for the most part, all good.

Each mask is placed and the surrounding area protected from ghost overspray. Then, the center of every P,R,O,A, etc. have to be picked out with a dental pick and tweezers. How long can that take???

Access panel doors and no the lower on is not crooked, when on the aircraft, it is parallel to the others near by. Upper panel line is not.

Lovely work: only one small thing however. That 'Jack Per EO 05...' (RCAF EO reference) should really refer to the USAF Tech Order (TO 1F86F- etc).

However I realise it's correct for a Sabre 6: confusing!

Yes, this is a Canadair Mk VI so it is being marked as such.

Love seeing where another S&S Turbine/JetCity job is going. AgentJayZ is a great follow for learning about how jet engines work and just general jet porrnn. Jay has several videos of your Orenda 10 build on his channel. I hope you guys can get him down for the first flight. I'm sure he'd love to visit another of his handiworks in service!

Yeah, Jay will be down for the final tuning of the engine. He makes magic happen. :drink3:
