B-25 "Yellow Rose" confirmed.

Nothing average about this year's lineup of mediums.

Nice to see Air Heritage committing to this year's Big Dance on their events schedule.

Looks like they're focused on completing a certain C-47 in time. Here's to their pulling it off. :drink3:

Even if the C-47 can't make it, I would love to see Thunder Pig again.

Winning over....?

Vulture's Row SBD
P-38 "White 33"
XP-82
SoCal's PBJ

And everything else I've missed. As usual, EAA will create enough awards for all those deserving them.

Which P-82 expects to be there? I didn't realize either one was that close.

Well, since Tom Reilly announced first engine runs for early summer (and I'm a glass-half-full type), I gave the project the benefit of the doubt!

Vulture's Row SBD confirmed? Been pretty low profile. If I missed it in an earlier post...shame on me.

I would think the SBD and P-38F would be major question marks, with regard to the recent news about its owner that was posted here, but perhaps not? I for one have really been looking forward to seeing those restorations when complete/flying.

Regarding the XP-82, I recall that little over a year ago, Tom Reilly mentioned that the aircraft had been purchased and that they were now working to meet a restoration contract that would see the aircraft completed by around June/July 2016 (at the time, this was 18-months from the signing of the contract). From that point, I've always assumed that this was to get the aircraft completed in time for Oshkosh 2016 - I guess we shall see... As Tom Reilly recently mentioned, and Dan reported, they are hoping to run engines early this summer.

John I would hope they do show up at Airventure. Not on behalf of the owner but on behalf of the dedication and hard work of the restoration shops. I would be applauding and admiring the pristine craftsmanship of those who worked so hard to achieve what they did. They earned a chance to show their artwork to those of us who care. I'll leave it at that. (because I'll be there this year and would like to see them)

Same here, Mark! A bunch of great people behind those restorations.

Scott et al,

Before anyone gets too many twists in their undershorts: My brief list of potential contenders was just a bit of realistic speculation on my part.

Slattery warbirds have been prominent fixtures of Airventures past. I can't imagine that their owner would be swayed into a show/no-show decision based on posts at a site such as WIX. No, I don't know the man, but I detect a thicker skin than the mean.

None from that little list are "confirmed" to attend. I believe it's realistic that they will.

NOW...my pipe dream has the BAHF C-97 squaring off against Coulson's Martin Mars for "Best Transport"
