USAF Military Air Transport Service (MATS) Lockheed C-121A Constellation (s/n 48-616) in low-level flight over unidentified airfield; in foreground, one-half left front view of Douglas A-26 civilian conversion under tow.

It looks like a Le Tourneau version ???
Thanks in advance.
Regards Duggy.

Looks like that is an airport in Southern California. Looks like the San Gabriel or San Bernadino Mountains in the background.

Close, but slightly different paint jobs. The B&W image shows the rudder with the lighter color. The color image shows the rudder being blue. Also the dark stripe on the leading edge of the vertical stab is smaller near the top in the B&W photo. But still could be the same aircraft.

If you post the original pic (that I can't view for some reason) on the Piston Engine Corporate and Executive Aircraft facebook page, someone might be able to ID it. There are several On Mark guys on the page who remember most of the A26s that were converted.
