Apparently a neat looking burgundy scheme. I'll let the experts chime in and explain some of the history on these guys.

Glad I'm not the one who painted that roundel on "44-75024" (what's the real ID of this one? The Registry shows it being restored to fly), and what happened to the fin/rudder?
Also, what's the correct ID of that T-33? It's painted as 52-9806 but the real one went to the Philippine Air Force and is on display in Manila.

Thanks for the great photos Mark.
The second photo is of 489 and was taken at the St Paul airport with the Mississippi river bluffs in the background. Also behind the prop are the two large Quonset type hangars used to modify B-24's during WWII, they still stand today.

The two color photos of the maroon Mustang were taken at the MSP airport at the MN Air National Guard Museum. I visited it two years ago, unfortunately I can't tell you any real details about the Mustang.

The P-51 had a Cavalier tail, but the extension was amputated in the last few years. I will dig out an older shot with the tall tail. The T-33 is listed as 55-3025 on the USAF Museum's aircraft on loan list.

Thanks Warbirdnerd!
Mark, would it be OK to pass the image with the T-33 along to Forgotten Jets to update the listing for 55-3025?
