Any other Wix members still able to save these aircraft.

Sorry you lost out on the bidding. Maybe this will leave you the free time to finally complete and deliver the fiberglass P-40 replica you still owe me for Gary Austin's estate from back in 2009.

Group,
Bidding just closed on the aircraft:
C-119 sold for $10,400.00
C-123 sold for $6,100.00
Both went for more money then I had to spend.
Hopefully they will be displayed somewhere.

So, how far above scrap value would that be? Or is that what they're worth for parts?
They added a bunch of UH-60s starting at $200 grand a pop - wonder if we'll see one on the Warbird circuit someday.

Will try to confirm information on the C-123 tomorrow.

Can anyone confirm that?
I don't have my books handy to look up the empty weight of either, but does anyone know what a stripped 737 goes for and whether or not a pro scrap firm would bother with those two?

alloy is around 0.70c us/lb x 29,000lb -4000lb for engines = $17500 + whatever they get for engines and panel

airliners are only good for matchbox cars, they use a bad kind of alloy i think, high in silicon
