Dude! That's some serious Corsair history. Love the taped over cooler inlets in the snow, the variants. Wow!

Um, yes it gets cold in northern Ohio, and Mark thanks for this thread. So lets find the Corsair sitting on the bottom of Lake Erie!

The only "God" I've even been called had a "Dammit" after it

AFAIK, there really isn't a good way to tell beyond the fact that post 1943, most of the -1Ds built were FG-1Ds. Other than that? I'll leave that for much more trained eyes.
