Have you tried plugging their N numbers into FlightAware to see if they have filed a flight plan recently?

Good idea. Mid-July 2014 is the most recent flight-plan activity for N1822M. I really have my doubts about how many of these "flying" C-46s actually are active, and here's one that apparently isn't. I've queried Everts about how many flying C-46s they actually have. My last comm with them made it sound like just one, but I may be wrong.

FlightAware tracks some VFR flight plans but mainly IFR. Sometimes VFR flights show up and sometimes they don't.

Good point. I'll have to query EAF as well as EAC.
