If there is one out there, perhaps a former Navy recruiting display? They also used to take a H-13 around on the back of a flatbed. But the plan still looks too wide for a truck.
And they had a A-4 with folding wings.

Hmmm! ... well here's a T-28 with folding wings :wink: ... same one as the first photo. I'm assuming this one doesn't fly though.

... actually I knew all along T-28's weren't originally designed with folding wings. (or maybe the thought was thrown around perhaps). Just saw this photo and thought ... hmmm! now that would be a good idea if you had a "boatload" of T-28's.

Just guessing they are a fixture to hold the wings in that position for the same reason the Navy wants folding wings. Saves space in cramped hangars. Besides, with them folded they can get it down the road with escort as opposed to probably not at all. Makes it much easier to get it out and drum up interest in the museum. Pretty clever really.
Would be a pretty simple fixture to make actually.
