The newest addition to the Hickory Aviation Museum, in Hickory, NC is this Grumman F9F-8T Cougar two seat trainer, BuNo 142985. This was the "Moton Field" Cougar, on display in Tuskegee, Alabama. The museum recently acquired it, and it arrived earlier this week. It's in rough shape, but all the pieces are there, and the folks at Hickory will look after her. I was out to the museum today and grabbed some shots.

I hope to post more photos as she is reassembled and cleaned up for display.

Quick update - the Cougar has been reassembled, painted, and moved onto the museum's flight line.

Terrific photo, Moose! May I pass it along to Nathan Decker for his F9F Cougar page for this aircraft?
