That's the symbol of the 4535th Combat Crew Training Squadron (October 1971 – December 1972) (F-4C), George AFB, CA. Tail code "GA"

Thanks Bob. I thought it was the symbol of the 4535th Combat Crew Training Squadron, but the caption of the photo stated it was taken in 1974.
