We've seen some of these before, but not as clear IMHO. The link is making the forum rounds today. Good stuff and a big thanks to those who have posted them elsewhere. (and a big thx to the original source)

Nope. On left: Waco CG-15A 45-12758; on right: Laister-Kaufmann YCG-10A 45-44450, first of three built (rest cancelled).

Just for the record, most of the photos are from the AAF Fair of October 13 & 14 1945.

The B-36 is probably from the '47 air show since it has the red bar in the insignia.

Nice shot of the XC-97 (note the B-29-size tail). I've seen other photos taken at the same time in books about the '97. I believe this was the first time the public could examine a Boeing 367 (military or civil) up-close.

Also, note the stepped windscreen of the C-46E.

Every time I drive to that part of the base, I think of all the neat aircraft that have parked there.
Now, the ramp is filled with Toyotas & SUVs.

Looks like a FW-190 in US markings in the lower left in the "Junkers Ju-290A-5 Alles Kaputt" photo.

That video is actually the Freeman Field show in 1945.

Pop up to Lubbock for a day at the Silent Wings Museum to learn more about the gliders.

Tugs for larger gliders, CG-4A through CG-20, were C-60, C-47, tandem C-47, C-46, P-38, P-47, B-17, B-24, C-54, PBY. XCG-10A was snatched with B-17. CG-4A, CG-13A, CG-15A were snatched with C-47.
