Did anyone get a good shot of Dreadnaught lapping Argonaut & 924 at the finish pylon yesterday? If so, please post. All 3 Sanders birds were in close formation right at the finish.

Good racing today - will be interesting to see if Dawson's blocking move on Hoot generates some hard feelings

Certainly no more than admitting on national TV that you don't know what a prime number is. :axe:

It was this episode that marked the beginning of massive federal cutbacks at NASA; Common Core appeared the following year. :lol:

So no live feed this year? For those not in attendance here's a brief update;

Low unlimited pool this year. They flew a bronze & silver on Thursday as usual but RARA bumped both Dreadnought & Sawbones to gold after they came in 1 - 2 in silver. Then they folded the bronzes all into silver for yesterday. Friday gold was RB, Strega, Voodoo, D-naught & Sawbones with no position changes. Argonaut will join them today after edging 924 in yesterday's silver. Presumably 924 will bump up today.

Otherwise, Breitling jets are OK (they just finished a formation lap on the course) and Rod Lewis' B-25 flies a nice Doolittle tribute each day. Tora flies today for the first time.

Sorry to waste your time if this is all on the links above - don't have time to puzzle them out on a smartphone in the sun. Will post photos in the air race backwater forum next week.

Another beautiful day in Reno. Yesterday's silver went as expected - gold was pretty exciting. RB tried the same block maneuver forcing Strega high, but this time Voodoo was ready and (at least from my angle) kicked inside, passing both easily. Strega then got by RB on the same lap coming into the valley of speed. Iirc, Strega passed Voodoo on the next lap and continued to pull away, taking the checkered flag easily

Hard to tell if everyone was at max speed or if some were holding back - Strega blew an exhaust stack in the process but all appear to be ready to go today.

Here's to a clean, safe race for all!

Mod to last post. They were still turning a LOT of wrenches on Strega with 3 hrs to race time.
